Keynote Speakers
Each keynote runs 45 minutes with 15 minutes of questions, chaired by a member of the scientific committee. Slides are published to registered delegates the evening of each session.
-
Prof. Adaeze Nwankwo
Chair in Financial Reporting, Manchester Business School
The fifth statement, and what it will cost us
Nwankwo has spent fifteen years on the empirics of disclosure quality and served two terms on a national standards advisory panel. Her address takes the first ISSB-aligned filings and asks what the added statement does to comparability, to preparer cost, and to the auditor's file — with evidence from 4,100 filings across nine jurisdictions.
-
Dr Tomas Halvorsen
Head of Assurance Policy, Nordic Audit Oversight Board
Limited assurance is not a rehearsal
Halvorsen led the inspection programme that reviewed the first 200 sustainability assurance engagements in the Nordic market. He reports what inspectors actually found in the working papers, where the evidence thinned, and which methodological shortcuts the regulator will not accept in the second cycle.
-
Prof. Mei-Ling Chua
Professor of Finance, Singapore Institute of Management
Does the market price a transition plan?
Chua's work on climate risk and the cost of capital has been cited in two central bank stress-testing frameworks. Her keynote separates the plans that moved spreads from the plans that moved only press releases, and sets out the identification problem researchers keep understating.

Grace Okonjo FCA
Group Chief Financial Officer, Meridian Utilities plc
The controller's view from inside the first cycle
Okonjo took a listed utility through its first assured sustainability report with a finance function of 240 people and no additional headcount. She is candid about the data that did not exist, the controls that had to be built in nine months, and what she would tell any CFO one cycle behind her.
